The Masquerade Theatre is teaming up with Indigo Inferno Productions to produce two classical productions this summer: Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare (produced by The Masquerade Theatre) and The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde (produced by Indigo Inferno Productions).

Please consider making a donation to help us cover the costs, not only of our sets, costumes and all that practical jazz, but most importantly, your donation will go towards the artists involved in this endeavor: our directors, stage managers, actors, and designers.

Some recommended ways to donate:

Feed an Artist: A $10 donation helps us buy snacks and water to feed our cast and crews on those long tech days!

Help Pay an Artist: A contribution of $50 can directly support paying our artists for their hard work!

Be a Major Donor: When you donate $100 or more, we’ll thank you in our program and curtain speech!

EVERY DOLLAR HELPS, AND NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL!!!

AND… Follow our Intsagram accounts to stay in the loop!

“The play’s the thing!”

The Masquerade Theatre aims to encourage actors from all over the Globe to take a step into Shakespeare’s World, where we can all play together!

The Masquerade Theatre

Founded by Lizzy Booth in 2022.

Lizzy’s love for Shakespeare lit a major fire behind her love for acting and the stage from the time she was eight years old, when she first had the opportunity to act in a production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Ever since then, Lizzy has performed in a multitude of Shakespeare’s plays and has directed and assistant directed several live productions. In 2022, Lizzy was inspired by the Virtual Theatre scene that arose during the pandemic to start a theatre group called The Masquerade Theatre, which would offer Virtual Productions via Zoom. That summer, Lizzy directed and produced The Masquerade Theatre’s first show: a “Masq’d Staged Reading.” The first Masq’d Staged Reading was Much Ado About Nothing: A Virtual Performance, followed the next summer by Twelfth Night: A Virtual Performance! This year, the Masquerade Theatre will put up its first full production in NYC!
